Why It Matters

The SSPX Sisters

The SSPX Sisters are essential for life at St Philomena School. A Religious House on our grounds will be a blessing beyond measure for our entire community.

Prayer & the Divine Office

The Sisters pray the Divine Office several times a day, lifting the veil between Heaven and Earth. Their prayers will draw down abundant Graces from Heaven upon our school and families.

Education & Catechism

The Sisters will provide specialist education, particularly for the girls of St Philomena School, and will teach Catechism in the Primary School. Their support will be immeasurable.

Religious Example

Their very visible presence in our community reminds us of the Sacrifice of giving one's life to God — and of the sacrifices we are each called to make in our own lives.

"The Sisters will help the priests in all the work that the Priestly Society is asked to do. Just as the Mother of Jesus in her Compassion took part in the priestly work of Jesus dying on the cross for the redemption of souls, so the Sisters of the Society of St Pius X will have a special devotion to the Sacrifice of the Mass of the Eucharistic Victim."
— Archbishop Lefebvre, Founder of the Society of St Pius X

"Every religious congregation does good for souls in its own way. The Sisters of the Society teach in our schools, assist with innumerable details in the parish, and carry out many works of apostolate for girls and young women. Their cheerful, religious example is an inspiration and encouragement to everyone."
— Fr Daniel Themann, District Superior of Australia and New Zealand
